SMARTER AND SIMPLER APPROACH TO IMPROVE YOUR GUT MICROBIOME(beneficial bacteria in the gut)

Gut microbiome of each individual is unique. It has a great influence on your health, nutrition, immunity, behavior and disease.

95 percent of digestive health issues are caused by undigested food rotting, fermenting and food going rancid in your digestive system. And that becomes an environment for bad bacterial growth, parasites, fungus , SIBO(Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth), IBS(Irritable Bowel Syndrome), Chron’s disease, and many emotional issues like hormonal problems, stress, anxiety, depression, mood swings.

So many scientifically supported ways to improve beneficial bacterial in your gut are : — — -

  1. Take probiotics +fermented foods- probiotics are usually beneficial bacteria provide all sorts of powerful benefits for your body and brain.Ex- Yogurt, Kefir(fermented probiotic milk drink,Sauerkraut(fermented cabbage ) etc.
  2. Eat plenty of fruits,vegetables,
  3. Eat both soluble and insoluble fibre. Ex -Soluble fibres like Oat bran,barley ,nuts, seeds, beans helps your digestive system to absorb water. Insoluble fibre like wheat bran, vegetables, whole grains keep everything moving through your digestive tract.
  4. Eat less sugar and sweetners
  5. Stay hydrated — women (2.7litresof water/day, men 3.7litresof water/day)
  6. Get moving — exercise increases blood flow+metabolism
  7. Avoid taking antibiotics unnecessarily
  8. Limit fatty foods
  9. When you eat meat select lean cuts such as pork loin, skinless poultry and limit portion size filling more of your plate with fibre rich whole grains, fruits and vegetables
  10. Get enough sleep
  11. High fibre diet avoid constipation and prevent various digestive conditions like diverticulosis, hemorrhoids etc whereas insoluble fibres acts as a roughage and improves your digestive health.
